For users who have installed an ABS system, how can they save time, effort, and install the ring gear without causing damage? Today I will introduce to you a little trick for installing the ring gear. It is more reliable than using gas welding to directly violently heat the ring gear, which will cause the ring gear to deform and affect the monitoring accuracy.
When many trailer factories or repair shops install the ring gear, they usually use gas welding to directly heat the ring gear, wait until it turns red, and then knock it into the wheel hub. This method of installing the ring gear can easily cause the originally flat ring gear to become damaged due to damage. Uneven force causes deformation, causing the gap between the ring gear and the sensor to be inconsistent when the wheel rotates, resulting in inaccurate monitoring.
The introduction of this method uses the principle of thermal expansion and contraction. Put the new ring gear into the waste engine oil to heat it evenly. When it reaches a certain temperature, the entire ring gear will expand slightly due to the heat. At this time, it can be directly Easily put it into the wheel hub slot, and the entire process will not damage the flatness of the ring gear.
Once you know the principle, the next work is very simple. You only need to find a stainless steel basin or iron bucket that can fully accommodate the ring gear, put in the waste engine oil, and heat it evenly for a period of time.
After the oil smokes and boils, we can take the ring gear out of the pot. At this time, due to heat, the entire ring gear expands and the inner diameter increases. Simply put it into the hub slot, which is very labor-saving. After putting it into the card slot, rotate it half a turn to one turn to confirm that it is installed in place, and then wait for it to cool down naturally.
After the ring gear has cooled, it will be tightly stuck in the hub slot. The last remaining task is to use carburetor cleaner to clean the residual waste engine oil on the ring gear. After cleaning, the entire ring gear installation process is completed. .
