Features
The boom types of tower cranes are divided into two types: horizontal type and pressure rod type. When the boom is horizontal, the load-carrying trolley runs luffing along the horizontal boom, and the luffing motion is balanced. The boom is longer, but the weight of the boom is larger. When the boom is of the pressure rod type, the luffing mechanism drags the boom to pitch and change its amplitude. The luffing motion is not as smooth as the horizontal type, but its dead weight is smaller.
The lifting capacity of tower cranes varies with amplitude. The product of lifting weight and amplitude is called load moment, which is the main technical parameter of this kind of crane. Through the slewing mechanism and slewing bearing, the tower crane has a large lifting height and a large inertial mass during rotation and walking, so it needs to have good speed regulation performance. In particular, the lifting mechanism is required to be fast for light loads, slow for heavy loads, and easy to install. The bit moves slightly. Generally, in addition to resistor speed regulation, eddy current brakes, frequency modulation, pole changing, thyristor and electromechanical combination are often used for speed regulation.
