(1) Rotation method installation

This method is to use the hoisting winch and boom of the tower crane itself to install it by rotating and rising on its own (the boom is used as the installation mast when lifting the tower body).

① Set the installation components of the tower crane on the track with the help of a truck crane, then assemble the tower body and boom, and connect them to the traveling frame (gantry).

②Set the ground anchors and rigging, and lift the boom to the installation position.

③Tighten the lifting arm to raise the steel rope, rotate the tower body to a certain angle, and install a counterweight cantilevered on the upper part of the tower body.

④ Continue to tighten the lifting arm to raise the steel rope to upright the tower body and fix it on the traveling frame (gantry) (during the tower body erection process, the fiber rope needs to be used to stabilize the tower body).

⑤ Install ballast on the traveling frame (gantry) and counterweight.

⑥Remove the lifting arm and raise it to the vertical position.

⑦ Lift the lifting arm to the working position and install the lifting wire rope.

(2)Safe formal dress method

Use a motorized crane to assemble the chassis (or mast), put on the ballast, and then install the tower body (including the frame and transition section for self-elevating tower cranes), balance arm, lifting arm, etc.

(3) Tower heightening of self-elevating tower crane

Here we only introduce the jacking process of the attached self-elevating tower crane. The lifting of the attached self-elevating tower crane uses the function of the hydraulic system and is carried out according to several processes as shown in Figure 5-2.

①Preparation work before jacking. Determine the jacking height, hoist the standard section to the ferry trolley 8, remove the connecting bolts between the original tower body and the frame, check and adjust the positions of the hydraulic cylinder, rollers, etc., turn on the power supply of the hydraulic pump motor, and prepare for jacking.

② Jacking frame and upper tower top structure. Start the oil pump to allow high-pressure oil to enter the upper part of the hydraulic cylinder. The oil path in the lower part of the hydraulic cylinder is connected with the oil path in the oil return tank. The sleeve and upper structure are lifted up to a height exceeding one standard section (usually 3.3m). Use The positioning pin locks the sleeve frame. At this time, all the weight on the sleeve frame is transferred to the tower body by the positioning pin.

③Introduce standard joints into the tower body. First retract the hydraulic jack piston rod to form an introduction space, and then drive the ferry trolley 8 with a standard section 7 into the introduction space.

④Install the tower body and connect the standard sections. Use the hydraulic jack to slightly lift the standard section, exit the ferry car, then use the piston rod to press down the standard section and smoothly lower it to the tower below, and connect them with bolts.

⑤ Pull out the positioning pin 6, lower the jacking sleeve 1, and connect the transition section with the new standard section and the tower body as a whole, and then the new lifting work can be carried out.

If you want to raise several standard sections at one time, you can repeat the lifting process ①~⑤.
